Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Magnet

In 1987 – the Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT) was established at Miami Springs Senior High in partnership with the American Express Philanthropic Foundation. Miami Springs Senior High was the first school in Miami-Dade County to offer this academy. We are now celebrating 35 years of excellence!

Students interested in attending AOHT at Miami Springs Senior High School must apply online at Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ School Choice and Parental Options Web site during M-DCPS’ Magnet Schools official enrollment period. How to apply

1. Go to Your Choice Miami.
2. Click on the "Applications" tab
3. Fill out the application and submit it

• Minimum of 2.0 grade point average in core academic classes (e.g. Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies).
• Minimum grade "C" in conduct.
• All effort grades in core academic classes must be a "2" or higher.
• No more than 10 unexcused absences for previous year.
• FSA cores may only be reviewed as part of the eligibility process under very limited circumstances.
