Miami Springs Senior High School and Miami-Dade County Public Schools is listening to you.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is known for innovation in education. We have been a leader in Choice programs for decades and continue to develop and implement cutting-edge models for delivery of curriculum that will prepare our students for the businesses of tomorrow while utilizing emerging technologies.

The online Magnet Application cycle for the 2024-2025 school year will open October 1, 2023, and close January 15, 2024.

Students interested in attending a Magnet program at Miami Springs SHS need to meet the following Miami Springs Senior High School Magnet Eligibility Criteria:

  • A minimum of 2.0 GPA in core academic subject areas (e.g., language arts, mathematics, science, social studies)
  • All effort grades in core academic classes must be “2” or higher
  • No Ds or Fs in conduct
  • No more than 10 unexcused absences or tardies will be allowed for previous year
  • Recommendations may be required

Random Selection
Through a third-party computer system, the random selection process is generated based on the programs’ specific eligibility criteria, sibling pairings and other school and district specific selection criteria. The system generates waiting lists for each program.
