- The Florida Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English. This recognition is reflected on the student’s diploma and transcript.
- Two levels of recognition are available: the Gold Seal of Biliteracy and the Silver Seal of Biliteracy.
- The program encourages students to continue studying world languages, recognizes biliteracy achievement, and helps colleges and employers identify students with valuable language skills.
- Students may qualify by meeting established academic and language proficiency requirements through coursework, an approved language assessment, or an approved alternative demonstration of proficiency.
